A gentle yoga class to wake your body and center your mind before the day begins. We will use simple tools including breath, movement and meditation to mobilize our joints and focus our attention. Start your day with purpose and clarity. No experience necessary.

By donation. Limited to 8 students. Please bring your own yoga mat and props.

Looking to add a healthy movement & meditation practice into your week that doesn’t require you to fold into a pretzel or stand on your head? Join us! 

This class is for folks who want:

  • Healthier joints

  • Better posture

  • Spinal mobility

  • Balance & stability 

  • Increased range of motion

  • Body awareness 

Each class will include simple breathing exercises, a short meditation, physical movement and the added bonus of Thai massage (with your consent).

We will work on:

  • Building strength

  • Reducing stiffness

  • Increasing pain-free mobility

  • Staying present in our bodies

  • Foundational movement principles


WHAT TO EXPECT:

This class combines physical movement, simple meditation and education in a small, supportive group setting. The class is adaptable and doesn’t encourage pushing beyond what’s safe and healthy for your body. There will be room for questions to help you build a solid understanding of your own unique body.

There will also be an optional Thai massage component for those who would like hands-on assistance. (Each student will be asked before any hands-on work is offered)

We will generally spend some time on the laying on the floor, seated and standing. All props will be provided for you.

This class is not:

  • A high intensity work-out (although it may be challenging at times)

  • A vinyasa flow class

  • A pose driven class.

WHAT TO WEAR:

Anything comfortable that allows for full range of motion i.e. sweats, yoga pants, joggers etc. We will be either barefoot or wearing socks.
